Some things I found interesting:
B. Wright, although amazingly light, is taller than Horford, contrary to what the CA said.

Conley, while on the short side, is a physical specimen. He had the second highest standing vertical at the camp (from his father, no doubt).

Durant had one of the worst physical outings at camp. His times were slow, and couldnt bench one rep. (the Sonics would be foolish not to take him because of this, however.)

Although I voted for Yi, I think the grizz would be doing great to get conley, wright (who is decidedly a 4 and would not play the same position as gay), or horford at this spot as well.

Last, David Jones, this is Cho, so in the future, please use less tact and courtesy in responding to my posts.JChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09635558372986820512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970612912558903293.post-7654450560205965032007-06-10T10:48:00.000-07:002007-06-10T10:48:00.000-07:00We say Conley Jr. just because....We say Conley Jr. just because....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970612912558903293.post-29385104465130272552007-06-09T16:25:00.000-07:002007-06-09T16:25:00.000-07:00Justin,Like I said, I don't follow college hoops m...Justin,

Like I said, I don't follow college hoops much, and I haven't seen B. Wright play, but he's described as an 'athletic' player at 6-9, 202, he's smaller than Tmac so I assumed he wasn't a back to the basket player.

Keep the votes coming...David Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12836285894552837634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970612912558903293.post-80420386037745931172007-06-09T14:58:00.000-07:002007-06-09T14:58:00.000-07:00The grizz should take Oden with the fourth pick. ...The grizz should take Oden with the fourth pick. Now, we all know he won't be there, so I say Conley Jr.

yardbarker jeff is a genius. he said we don't need another project, and he couldn't be more right. Right now the Grizz need a proven NBA ready player, and the only one on the board at that time will be Conley. The Grizzlies should draft based on need, not on whose the most talented player in the draft. Jerry West made a trade for Rudy Gay last year because he believed he would be our future at the 3. While, I do believe Brandan Wright will be a good, possibly great NBA player, so we really want to say hey Rudy, we made a mistake, you're not the future. I don't think so.

With Horford, I am back and forth on him. While I love his toughness and I think he could (big word here, could) make an impact immediately by adding some size and strength next to Pau. I just don't like that he's undersized. And personally, we don't know how good he will be, and I do not want to take a chance on him. Besides, we already have an undersized tough guy in AJ, eventhough he is offensively-challenged.

Don't get me started on Yi whatever his name is. Look at the tapes, he's dominating guys who don't have a chance to guard him. Put a stopper like Bruce Bowen or Shane Battier on him and he's done. Nuff said.

Mr. West or whoever is going to draft for the grizz, if you read this, please take Mike Conley Jr. I'm a Big Ten guy, and I watched him demolish my Badgers twice this year. He is amazingly quick, smart, athletic, plays great D, and was a proven leader as an 18 year old freshman. The skies the limit for this kid. His shot is not great, but as a PG, that isnt his first option anyway. He reminds me a lot of Tony Parker and Chris Paul, and I think he will win ROY if he is drafted in the right place (i.e. the Grizz).bkatzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08409167027799168899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970612912558903293.post-81962849389043415932007-06-09T12:56:00.000-07:002007-06-09T12:56:00.000-07:00I want to place another vote for Yi. I guess we don't get to pick a superstar, though, at number 4. So I say Horford or Conley, Jr..

Horford plays hard and would be a big man who could be a stronger defensive presence down low than we have had for a while. He'll be able to hang with some of the league's best big men. He played Oden very well in the championship series.

I think Conley, Jr. would fit well with the new style that Iavaroni is supposed to bring to Memphis. I really like watching him play, but I think he's going to be very good at best, and not great. He worked well with Oden, but I'm not sure it would work out with Pau like it did with Oden. I'm not Pau's biggest fan.

It's between these two in my head. Neither one was a huge scorer in college. Both are very athletic and would work well with a fast paced game. I see it as a toss up between someone who delivers the ball well and someone with good low post defense and rebounding.

I'd rather develop Horford and hope he can pick up some low post moves to start scoring more than he is used to. My vote is draft Horford and then trade for a guard who can lead the team.Rumblebuffinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12576214915513840609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970612912558903293.post-59552365432277863522007-06-08T11:31:00.000-07:002007-06-08T11:31:00.000-07:00Al Horford, but more importantly the celts will be...Al Horford, but more importantly the celts will be taking Mike Conley Jr, yet even more importantly both teams are getting shafted because oden and durant are going elsewhere....Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06960223435966182140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970612912558903293.post-62704673964855032762007-06-08T11:00:00.000-07:002007-06-08T11:00:00.000-07:00Yi JianlianYi JianlianAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970612912558903293.post-16145743263722438522007-06-08T10:49:00.000-07:002007-06-08T10:49:00.000-07:00Yi Jianlian.
