Who's Optimistic About Next Season?

I think I have seen this article in one form or another every season:

http://www.nba.com/grizzlies/features/grizzlies_looking_to_finish_strong-080415.html

"Just wait, next year the Grizzlies are really going to turn things around." Last was no different. remember how Tarrance Kinsey was the next Cuttino Mobley?

One year, when Hubie Brown actually turned the team around, this article actually meant something. Does anyone think the "big picture ... seems much brighter these days"?

As citizens of the NBA, it falls on the rest of us to help Save the Sonics! I beg you to please post your team/owner's information with the following. Thanks!

We Miami Heat fans have put together a proposed plan of action here: http://thesouthfloridafan.blogspot.com/2008/04/how-to-help-seattle-keep-their-sonics.html

It involves this:

IMPLORE EVERY NBA TEAM BLOG TO POST THE ADDRESS OF THEIR OWNERS. IN ADDITION, LETTERS SHOULD INCLUDE SOMETHING LIKE THIS:

"As a form of protest, we vow to boycott any game next season in which the Oklahoma City Sonics play, whether it be in our arena or watching it on television."

Spread this around as much as you can. It's going to take the other teams to prevent this from happening. Let's save the Sonics!

(E-mail your local newspaper too. This is of vital importance)

So, I think we can agree that we are getting sick and tired of the same old wait for next year speech and look at the new additions stuff, but once again here we are. We get a top 2 pick and viola superstar in the making, we use some cap room to do as bill simmons suggests and sign monta ellis for more than he is currently worth and hope he continues to grow. Sadly its one of the only ways to turn things around as a franchise, I saw it happen in new orleans, it happened in san antonio, cleveland, denver. I mean you have a decent core and hope to get lucky. Does that make me optimistic? No, I have watched lebron slip through our hands, Oden, durant. I mean even the 2001 draft with Gasol and Battier only got us so far, but you put a Beasley on this griz team or a derrick rose and whatever you can get for conley and then yeah i will have some optimism., but I'm not holding my breath.

If she has an expiring contract, we'll take her.
