Hakim Warrick Gone

According to ESPN, the Grizzlies have withdrawn Hakim Warrick's qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.

What's more surprising is that none of the local media have reported or commented on the news even though I read it 4 hours ago. Apparently Ron Tillery is on vacation, Geoff Calkins is focused on college football, and Chris Herrington is eating pizza.

For the Grizzlies, this means they're likely severing ties with the forward and preparing to acquire another player via free agency or trade.

Currently, the Grizzlies have 11 players under contract assuming all three rookies are signed, so they have to acquire at least one more player.

OJ Mayo and I both hope that player is Allen Iverson, who will be more entertaining that any other player the Grizzlies could possibly sign.

However, if you were Allen Iverson, why on earth would you play for the Grizzlies?

Unless you were broke because you managed to spend 150 million dollars in the last 10 years.

I doubt it, but on a team with fewer than 30 wins, anything is possible.
